About SewingWeb.com
How did SewingWeb.com come to be?

SewingWeb.com was created and designed in response to the needs of people on the internet and beyond based on email and internet research – people want to learn to sew, they want to learn how to make items and have others to mentor them. People need and want a comprehensive sewing dictionary. People who sew want a place to discuss their abilities, projects, services, availability, to sell their wares, and network, as well as help those who are learning to sew.

SewingWeb.com is interactive in nature, providing a central location for all of the above desires of people who sew or want to learn how to sew, whether by hand or machine, regardless of the level of expertise. The collective experience and knowledge of the community on SewingWeb.com is greater than that of any individual, and provides a resource beyond compare.

SewingWeb.com continues to listen to the needs of people and will respond with content, projects, lessons, etc. based on the requests and input of community members. SewingWeb.com will provide book sources and reviews, and will rely on both on and off line sources of information to provide educational assistance to members of the site. Reciprocal knowledge sharing will always be encouraged.

SewingWeb.com is the home of sewing on the web for like-minded community (people), lessons (projects, how-to’s, dictionary), products (sponsors, links and resources, barterers), and other interactively based information (message boards, chat, resources, newsletter, pictures).
