Autmn Changes
Autumn, a time for change in the weather; leaves changing from summer
green to shades of goldern yellow, red and orange; children in school
are over the first blush of "new term" excitement and settling into
their studies; and thoughts are returning to indoor activities.
Wardrobes change. We see fewer T-shirts and more long-sleeved shirts and
turtlenecks. Lightweight shorts go back into hiding, to be replaced by
the fall's good sturdy denimn and solid corduroy.
Change is everywhere and here at SewingWeb.com, we're making a few
changes too. Lois (lois@sewingweb.com), who you may know as SewMagical
on the message boards, is now also providing content direction for the
site. Donna's still here, working in the background, but Lois is the
main point of contact and will be involved intimately with the message
boards, content on the front page and elsewhere, poll building, tip
writing each month, and welcomes your suggestions related to any of
these. Lois has been with the site and doing some background work for
SewingWeb.com from the beginning, so this is a seamless transition :)
Our other change has been our affiliation with and purchase by
SewingPatterns.com. We're a one advertiser site now! Our focus can be
helping others learn to sew, providing community for people who sew, and
on bringing you content that is relative to sewing. We encourage your
questions on the message boards and appreciate any thoughts you may have
regarding content - what would you like to see?
Regarding change and the fall season - break out your fall colors and
stitch together something wonderful. During the hurricane in Virginia
recently, Donna made one doll quilt and half-completed another. There
is always time for sewing!
Thank you, as always, for being a member of our site. Remember our
chats on Thursday evenings at 8 p.m. ET - Lois is your host for those.
Stop by the site and take our new poll. We're asking about Halloween
costumes. Where do you get yours?
As always, Keep Sewing!
